Rona Z. Silkiss, M.D., FACS

Dr. Rona Z. Silkiss is a board-certified oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon with over 40 years of experience devoted exclusively to oculofacial plastic and orbital surgery. She has been in private practice since 1987 and is widely recognized for her expertise in both functional and aesthetic eyelid and orbital conditions.
Dr. Silkiss completed her medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School, her residency in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, her Ophthalmology residency at the Jules Stein Eye Institute and her fellowship training in Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive, and Orbital Surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. Dr. Silkiss is double-board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive and Orbital Surgery.
Dr. Silkiss serves as Chief of the Division of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at California Pacific Medical Center, where she is a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, participated in clinical research and trials, and has received multiple national awards for her contributions to ophthalmology and ophthalmic plastic surgery.
Dr. Silkiss is known for her thoughtful, light touch, precision surgery. She is an expert diagnostician and, as one of the few double-boarded ophthalmic plastic surgeons in the world, provides a holistic approach to the care of her patients.
